What do I pay for?
You pay to participate and the opportunity to win the cash prize. Without this fee, anyone could join and vote, which would make things totally unfair. The fee also helps filtering out people who aren’t serious about building something.
How much time do I need to commit?
You can make progress on your project in your free time. We expect each team to meet in-person and sync at least once a week. You can then agree on the deliverables and steps together. We encourage as much communication as possible.
Do I need to be technical to participate?
No, we encourage people of all skill sets and backgrounds to join. We believe the best teams are formed with a variety of talents.
Do I need an idea before joining?
No. Ideas and projects are suggested based on the team, but it’s recommended to brainstorm together.
How are participants paired?
Primarily based on skills and interests. Other factors include availability and personality.
How is the cash prize shared among the top 3 projects?
60% to the first place, 30% to the second, and 10% to the third.
What if there aren’t enough participants in my city?
You’ll be paired with participants from other cities in the same situation. We’ll make sure to match you with people in a similar time zone. Your meetings can be virtual.
